This Hari Raya Eid al-Fitr holds precious meaning.
One particularly significant meaning I know of is that during Hari Raya Eid al-Fitr, Muslims have a tradition of exchanging greetings, "maaf zahir dan batin," which means "Forgive me for all my sins, both physical and spiritual." Islamic teachings encourage believers to forgive one another, forget past conflicts, mend relationships, and embrace a beautiful and new beginning.
Previously, I had some disagreements and arguments with colleagues at work. However, guided by our faith, religion and moral character, we finally resolved the conflict peacefully this evening at 7:05 pm on the eve of Hari Raya Eid al-Fitr. We forgave each other, as neither of us was personal or the other. This evening, the issue was put to a stop, and we can both peacefully and calmly spend this beautiful Hari Raya Eid al-Fitr Holidays, and perfectly learning a precious value: maaf zahir dan batin!
I also hope that Muslims and people of all races suffering in the Middle East wars will, through the virtue of mutual forgiveness and tolerance, lay down their weapons, stop the war, achieve peace, and live in harmony, prosperity, and shared happiness!
